Knowing God's Will. Jeremiah 18:1-6
God’s will is very important for a Christian. In fact, we try to base our lives around God’s will. But how does one find God’s will? How much of our lives need to be involved in God’s will? How much of our well-being will God leave to us? These and many more questions usually arise as we look at God’s will, so we must be diligent in learning about God’s will. Therefore let us look at what the prophet Jeremiah learned.
In v4, how does what Jeremiah saw related to us?
Did the potter remake the vessel just to remake it, or did he have a reason? Why would God possibly remake us sometimes?
Though we might not understand God’s remaking process, how does Paul explain God’s will in Romans 8:28-30?
In Romans 9:20-21, who according to Paul, has final authority in what the clay is made into and how it is formed?
Application:
The potter was able to work with the clay when it was soft. In Jeremiah 19:11, what does GOD say will happen when we harden ourselves to HIS will? What kind of clay are you?
