Prayer. The Best Resource
 

 

“The Christians greatest resource with GOD and man is prayer. With prayer he opens the gates of heaven, enabling GOD to pour forth his good things upon men.” E.F. Hallock                                                            Jer. 33:3

 

 

 

Some practical helps to prayer:

 

1.    ACTS

 

A-Adoration – Worship and praise GOD –acknowledge GOD for who HE is (Matt. 6:9)

 

 

 

C-Confession – To admit oneself guilty of what one is accused, the result of inner conviction. Thus to turn from sin.

 

Promise - GOD will forgive and cleanse (I John 1:9; Matt.6:14,15)

 

 

 

T-Thanksgiving – Expressing trust and dependence upon GOD. HE gives “every good and perfect gift”. (I Thess. 5:20; James 1:17)

 

 

 

S-Supplication – To ask humbly and earnestly of GOD.(Matt. 6:10; 7:7-11)

 

 

  1. Summarize JESUS parable in Luke 18:1-8. How does this story apply to prayer?

 

 

 

 

  1. Example prayers: Acts 4:29;Col. 4:3,12;Romans 10:1;Eph.1:15-19 List what they prayed for.
