Privileges of Salvation When one becomes a Christian, he obtains a new relationship with GOD. That relationship has many privileges or benefits vital for the Christian to understand. If someone left you a Million dollars but you never knew about what you had inherited, the money would do you no good. In the same way many of us as Christians never know what GOD has given us, thus we continue to live as spiritual paupers. Here are a few of GOD’s benefits to HIS people.
- Sonship – Gal.3:26, Eph. 1:5 – You now are a member of a new family, the family of GOD. What are some implications of being GOD’s child?
- Redemption – Eph.1:7 – Means deliverance or release. Picture of slave being released through a payment of money-being bought off slave market and given freedom. By what means was our deliverance accomplished? How does Eph.1:7 further explain redemption?
- New Creation – II Cor. 5:17-A new start, new beginning.
- Holy Spirit – Eph. 1:13, 14; Rom. 8:16; II Cor. 1:21,22. Was given as a down payment. Since you have come into GOD’s Family you never need to fear loosing that relationship because of GOD’s pledge-the Holy Spirit. Also you are never alone, because HE lives in you.
